Long before Yoder's Sweet Shop became a business, it was a family tradition.

For as long as Louie Yoder can remember, homemade sweets were a familiar part of family gatherings, holidays, and time spent with friends. Recipes were shared from one generation to the next, crafted with patience and care, and enjoyed by the people closest to them. Those same traditions continue to shape everything we make today.

For as long as Louie Yoder can remember, handcrafted sweets were part of family life. Recipes were passed from one generation to the next and shared at family gatherings, holidays, and around the kitchen table. Long before they became products, they became traditions.

Those recipes remained within the family for years, quietly becoming favorites among friends, neighbors, and anyone fortunate enough to enjoy them.

A New Chapter

Before opening Yoder's Sweet Shop, Louie and his family spent years serving in Nicaragua with Christian Aid Ministries. Their time there shaped their perspective on faith, service, and building a life centered on what truly matters.

When they returned home, they weren't simply looking to start a business. They wanted to build something the family could grow together—something that reflected the same care, integrity, and purpose that had guided them for years.

Yoder's Sweet Shop became that opportunity.
